Sri Sathya Sai Schools

“Education is for life and not for living” is the motto of Sri Sathya Sai schools across India. Sri Sathya Sai schools mission mainly based on the teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. He is its life and soul. His teachings are its inspiration and goals.

Though all the schools are not directly affiliated with the central trust of Sri Sathya Sai Organisations, Prasanthi Nilayam, it does receive guidance from these quarters. The schools are under the State Trust of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organizations, Andhra Pradesh.

The two main factors which make Sri Sathya Sai schools distinct from other schools are its discipline and value based education. Here, Educare, which is a combination of both worldly and spiritual knowledge is imparted to the students. The teaching methods aim at imparting value based education integrated with the curriculum. A special subject called E.H.V – Education in Human Values is taught where children learn certain values like truth, love, peace, kindness, forgiveness, forbearance etc., which are very essential for a fulfilled and happy life.

These schools give equal importance to sports and games to encourage healthy competition, character building and physical stamina. The students who excel in academics, sports and games and other co-curricular activities are encouraged and awarded gold medals, trophies and shields. Another special feature of Sri Sathya Sai Schools are its concept of service. Children are taught the essential value of rendering service from a very young age. They are involved in service activities such as distribution of clothes, food etc., to the poor and needy.
